Verse 1

Sanskrit verse

वसुदेवसुतं देवं कंसचाणूरमर्दनम्। देवकीपरमानन्दं कृष्णं वन्दे जगद्गुरुम्॥

Transliteration

Vasudevasutam Devam Kamsachaanoora-Mardanam, Devaki-Paramaanandam Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum.

Meaning

Son of Vasudeva, destroyer of Kamsa and Chanura, supreme joy of Devaki — I bow to Krishna, teacher of the entire universe.

Verse 2

Sanskrit verse

आकाशात् पतितं तोयं यथा गच्छति सागरम्। सर्वदेव नमस्कारः केशवं प्रतिगच्छति॥

Transliteration

Akashaat Patitam Toyam Yathaa Gacchati Saagaram, Sarvadeva Namaskaaraha Keshavam Pratigacchati.

Meaning

Just as every raindrop from the sky eventually reaches the ocean, every act of worship — to whichever deity — ultimately reaches Keshava.
