What is Sade Sati?
Sade Sati is the roughly 7.5-year period when transiting Saturn moves through the 12th, 1st and 2nd signs counted from your natal Moon sign. It has three phases of about 2.5 years each: rising (the 12th sign), peak (the Moon sign itself) and setting (the 2nd sign).
There is also a smaller cycle called Dhaiya (Ashtama/Kantaka Shani), when transiting Saturn moves through the 4th or 8th sign from the Moon sign, lasting about 2.5 years.
Sade Sati itself is not automatically good or bad. What it means depends on Saturn's own strength, placement and the rest of the chart. This calculator only shows the status, which phase and whether it's active, not a prediction.
